Carenet Healthcare Services Earns NCQA Certification for Eighth Consecutive Year
Certification demonstrates Carenet’s dedication to improved quality and outcomes
SAN ANTONIO, Texas, September 26, 2018 — Carenet Healthcare Services is proud to announce that its 24×7 Nurse Advice Line has once again received certification by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) under the Health Information Products (HIP) certification process for a Health Information Line. Carenet, a leading provider of strategic clinical activation, engagement and advocacy solutions, has achieved this NCQA certification since 2010.
NCQA HIP certification is a quality assessment program that health plans can use to evaluate healthcare organizations. The rigorous review process assesses an organization’s ability to develop and provide content, tools and services that help consumers make better healthcare choices.
“Earning NCQA certification continues to validate our organization’s commitment to compliance excellence and our unwavering dedication to exceeding quality standards—especially when it comes to delivering solutions that make a difference for our clients and their members,” said Carenet’s compliance and quality initiatives director, Celeste Roman. “We’re especially proud that the NCQA certification also makes it easier for our clients to meet their own regulatory, and accreditation standards.”
The Carenet Nurse Advice Line is a valuable engagement tool to answer questions, assess symptoms, provide evidence-based care options and recommend sites of care. Staffed by registered nurses and care coordinators, the Nurse Advice Line helps promote health management programs and enlist members into additional programs and services that support a healthy lifestyle.
For eight consecutive years, Inc. Magazine has named Carenet as one of America’s fastest-growing private companies. Carenet actively engages and serves over 25 million healthcare consumers a year on behalf of health plans, providers, employers and others in the healthcare industry.
Through three award-winning solution areas — Strategic Engagement, 24×7 Clinical Support/Virtual Clinic, and Care Navigation and Advocacy — Carenet team members guide people to high-quality and cost-effective care, coach them to improved wellness, and educate them about their healthcare options and costs.
