New executive hires signal Carenet’s commitment to expanding its consumer engagement services

SAN ANTONIO, Texas, January 4, 2023 — Carenet Health, a leading provider of 24/7 and on-demand patient engagement solutions, today announced that Skip Hanson and Lisa Taylor have joined its leadership team to oversee the strategic transition related to Carenet’s recent acquisition of Stericycle Communication Solutions. In his new role as executive vice president, service delivery, Hanson will lead the operations, product, and client success teams that support the company’s communication solutions business. Hanson will work closely with Taylor, vice president of market development, to fully integrate its newly acquired communication solutions into Carenet’s day-to-day workflow.

During the transition, Matt Dickson, Carenet senior vice president of communication solutions, will work with Hanson and Taylor to further strengthen Carenet’s robust capabilities in support of health systems and providers. Through the acquisition, Carenet is now the industry’s most comprehensive healthcare consumer engagement company, delivering provider-centric technology services that include online scheduling platforms, automated messaging solutions, and inbound and outbound call center services.

“As part of Carenet’s strategic vision to create a cohesive patient experience and provide better healthcare for all, Skip’s executive leadership experience and ability to leverage technology to optimize the healthcare customer experience makes him a great fit to manage our service delivery business,” said John Erwin, Carenet’s chief executive officer. “Additionally, given Lisa’s experience as a proven leader in product development and market strategy in the provider space, she and Skip complement each other in their new roles at this very exciting and transformative time in Carenet’s history.”

Following the acquisition, Carenet now provides one in three Americans access to its offerings and works with 14 of the top 20 health systems in the U.S., among more than 1,000 other leading healthcare companies. In addition to Carenet’s Intelligent Engagement™ clinical and telehealth services, its offerings now include the best-in-class Intelligent Scheduling solution, built on the InQuicker ™ platform, the market’s broadest and deepest EHR/EMR integrated solution, as well as award-winning SaaS digital and automation platforms.

“I’m thrilled to join the Carenet team and welcome the opportunity to be part of its critical mission to deliver better health outcomes for all,” Hanson said. “It’s clear that Carenet is making considerable strategic investments to grow the business and expand upon its impact in the market.”

Taylor, who previously worked with Hanson at iN2L where she was chief executive officer, said she is very excited to join the Carenet team.

“I’m delighted to join Carenet at a time when it’s making strategic investments in healthcare consumer engagement,” Taylor said. “I look forward to ensuring our products are aligned with the needs of the provider market and positioning Carenet’s communication solutions for continued success and growth.”

Hanson and Taylor will each start in their new roles in January 2023.

An accomplished C-suite executive, Hanson has an extensive track record of success developing and executing strategy, building teams and operations, and delivering revenue-generating results across various business functions during start-up, high-growth, and mature company phases. A graduate of the University of Nebraska, Hanson has held executive leadership roles at iN2L, Mosaic, and West Corporation. Most recently, he was the chief product officer at InterLink AI in Omaha, Neb.

Taylor, who co-founded the healthcare technology company TeleVox, has over 25 years of experience in executive leadership, financial management, and vast expertise building high performing teams. In addition to co-founding TeleVox and executing its sale to West Corporation, she held previous CEO roles at West TeleVox Solutions and iN2L, an engagement SaaS technology platform for seniors. A graduate of the University of South Alabama, Taylor is a member of the Women Business Leaders of the U.S. Health Care Industry Foundation and served on the Board of Directors at Patientco.
